CuSPP Network: Cultures of Screen, Performance and Print
This group brings together researchers, scholars, and writers working in and beyond the Australian National University in Canberra in cultures of screen, performance, and print (CuSPP). CuSPP encompasses literary and screen studies, cultural history, theatre and performance studies, digital cultures and humanities, book history and reception studies. It explores relationships across time and place, from the ancient world to the present day.
The aim of the network is to foster intellectual engagement and to support and facilitate individual and collaborative research across the humanities. Research projects in CuSPP are clustered into four cross-disciplinary programs, with which individual members are affiliated: Body, Forms, Space, and Time.
The network’s activities include the weekly CuSPP seminar, a fortnightly Theory Reading Group, Homer Reading Group and Latin Reading Group, regular public lectures, research retreats and workshops, and conferences and symposia. Members of CuSPP hold editorial responsibilities for a number of current journals, including Australian Humanities Review, Humanities Research, and Australian Literary Studies
CuSPP is affiliated with the Humanities Research Centre (HRC) and the French Research Cluster.
