Adam Kotsko (ANU / RSHA Visiting Scholar) Schedule

Adam Kotsko is about to embark on his tour downunder (Australia & New Zealand) and Canberra is his first stop.

Here is a schedule for his ANU talks and masterclass (he is leading ANU’s Theory Reading Group):

Thursday 21 July, 1-2pm. Adam is presenting ‘Neoliberalism’s Demons‘ for the Literary Studies Seminar Series (Milgate Room, A D Hope, Level 1)

Friday 22 July, 4-6pm. Adam is leading the ANU’s Theory Reading Group (Common Room, 113, A D Hope, Level 1). For this session, we will be discussing excerpts from Agamben’s The Kingdom and The Glory along with Adam’s work on the problem of evil. Please contact monique.rooney@anu.edu.au if you need to get hold of the readings.

Monday 25 July, 4.15-5.30pm. Adam will deliver his talk ‘The Origin of The Devil‘. This is a Humanities Research Centre public lecture (HRC Conference Room, A. D Hope Building, Level 1).

 

Adam Kotsko is Assistant Professor of Humanities at Shimer College in Chicago. He is the author, most recently, of The Prince of This World (forthcoming from Stanford University Press) and is the translator of many works of the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben.
